MHKDesigner Inspiration: Tasha

Hi everyone, Tasha here with my May designer project for MHKDesigns digital stamps and papers. For my project, I created a lovely floral card with the Open Bloom digital stamp set.

The flower image was printed in black and colored in shades of blue. I layered clear glitter over the petals and leaves to give them tons of shimmer. I also adhered clear enamel dots to the center of both flowers; the glossy finish gives a water-like look.

This wonderful set includes several sentiments, but I thought this one was perfect for a year-round card. I printed it out in an ombre font color. The plum and gold color combo looks awesome and really coordinates well with the blue.

To complete this design, I layered the card on a pearl navy paper and teal floral pattern paper. I think the dark blue is a great mat color and the teal paper adds more pops of color. Lastly, I created an olive green card base from heavy card stock and embellished with white gel pen.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are inspired to create with the beautiful Open Bloom digital stamp set!

I hope you enjoyed this card and be sure to check out the MHKDesigns Blog for more inspiration!

MHK Designer Inspiration - Monica

Hi everyone it's Monica from Taylormadecards4u. I am here today with my Designer inspiration for MHK Designs. I am using one of my favorite sets called "The Write Stuff".

Many people may not know that not only am I am paper crafter, but I sew as well. My sewing machine has been put away for awhile, but recently I have been inspired to bring it out of the closet and start incorporating my sewing into my paper crafting.

I was at a local fabric shop recently as saw this cute fabric. I just couldn't resist it as I know I had the perfect digital images to create a note card set.  I think they are a pretty cute pair, what do you think?

Thanks for stopping by!

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Julie

Hello, fellow crafters.  Julie is with you today. Today is a very big day for me!  Not only am I on this blog sharing with you, which is always a treat, but I'm also heading back to work after being away for 5 months.  I had 4 months of chemo and a month to recover.  Now, it's time to return to the people and the job that I love.  My heart is ready, and I hope my body is, too.

Langston Hughes said, "Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly."  It has taken much courage to keep my dreams alive some days this winter, and it has taken support from many incredible friends and family.  I thought of those people when I made this card, using MHKDesigns Birdcage Silhouettes.

Both the printed birdcage and the Langston Hughes quote are part of the Birdcage Silhouettes digital stamp set.  I found the birdcage charm in my stash, and just had to use it!  Designer papers on this card are also from MHKDesigns.  They are the Get Well Flowers digital papers

Have you entered this month's MHKDesigns challenge yet?  There's still plenty of time.  It's Anything Goes, if you use an MHKDesigns image, or there's an inspiration picture board if you choose to use something else (or need a little inspiration).  Please join in!  I'd love to see what you make, and you have a chance to win some great MHKDesigns digis!  Yea!  Please join in on the MHKDesigners & Friends Facebook Group, too, for more inspiration,  fun, and news.

MHK Designer Inspiration - Rocky

Hello and welcome to my very simple inspiration project for this month. A tag to go with a handcrafted gift that also has a sea theme.
I used the sand dollar to make a background in my photo package. The contrast has been changed on some of them to get them near white, with the others having the opacity changed to get shades of grey. The main image was done last so it sits over all the others but it is at 75% opacity so the greeting stands out in black.
The whole background was then placed over a sheet of paper from Country Farm to get the sandy colour. Once the printed paper was stuck on the tag it was then trimmed and edged with blue ink, with the addition of  two colours of string the tag was complete.
Don't forget to pop over to the current challenge for a chance to win some gorgeous MHK Designs goodies or visit our Etsy shop to browse the huge collection of digital delights.
